To the untrained ear this might not seem like a lot but ambient is not easy to make. I still have difficulty with it.

You worked on this and it shows.

yaY!! im so happy to hear that :)
thanks for listening :)

I love seeing a song with vocals on here. Fucking love it. Cool tip put a compressor on your master that is sidechained to your vocal recording and some very light conpression. And your vocals will shine through the mix and be more clear. And the clean vocal chain is rider, autotune(if you want), eq, de-esser (if you have excessive sibilanc), compressor, OTT in that order.

Great beat. But 15 minutes is too long for this. You need to have different scenes you can’t just go max energy all the way through the track music is about tension and release and this has tons of tension but very few breaks. I mean unless your are trying to make music that gives people anxiety. Then in that case no notes.

It is really good the synths are on point. Even using the Linn Drum. Excellent the arrangement is solid. My only note would be your kick is really quite which losses the groove a little I would turn your kick up and the synth down. Put a sidechained compressor a the bass and probably the synth set the ratio 4:1 bring the threshold down to like -8 to -12. And just play around with the attack and release. And shelf all your tracks. Always cut out any frequency not import for a sound. But really good I like it. Here is a Synthwave track I made like 2 years ago so you can see what I am talking about.

Thanks! When I recorded these songs I just thought about side chaining but didn't use it until I recorded my song Titan's Fall (all of these songs are on spotify etc. already) and I just never prioritize it. I just finished a vocal track and might just go look at it tonight to see how much I gain by sidechaining stuff.

It is really good but I can’t hear the kick. And honestly none of the elements stand out. But it has potential. DM me and I can walk through how to clean up your mix and techniques for processing. What DAW do you use?

PotangNG responds:

Agreed, I've gotten feedback that the drums could be louder. I use FL Studio 2024.

I really like that you have a structure. With pauses high energy moments and low energy moments. The sound design is interesting. It just needs mixing. It doesn’t even need to be good mixing just an attempt at it would really make this special. Also could really use some audio effects remember return tracks are your best friend.

ExistancePerson responds:

Thanks! I'll definitely try to learn mixing, and next track I will include sound effects.

It is kind of uncomfortable to listen to. And it has way to much going on and no element stands out. There is very little dynamic but it is original and creative keep it up.

Love it. No notes.
